News from the world of Strider

 

Thanks for the support at the County Court last night, it was great to see so many of you there. I thought it was going to be a dead one again but it turned out fab. There was even people up dancing and heckling, it was great!!

I will be at the Crows Nest (Moorfield Arms) in North Widnes this Friday 3rd July, I hope you can make it as it's a great gig, it would be cool to see some of the old Strider fans again as it's been a while.

On Saturday I'll be playing the Royal Oak in Prescot, which should be good as it's just been re-furbed,
( Hope they got the blood off the seats, ha ha )!! , looking forward to it, it's always a great night at the Oak

And of course if you fancy a great night out on a Monday, I'll be at the Village Inn, Woolton with the lads for an Acoustic jam session, or on a Thursday with the same at Stamps Too in Waterloo.

Thanks to everybody who came to the Green Dragon last Saturday, it turned out to be a great night.
A gang of crazy girls turned up and started dancing, which of course stole the show. At the end of the night, even Liz and the rest of the bar staff were dancing behind the bar, so it turned out like something from the film Cocktail !

Really looking forward to the next one there on July 11th

Hey if anyone wants a laugh check this out: Bitsa.

It was was my appearance in the broomcupboard with Toby Anstis in 1994 playing the Bitsa theme tune live. The only trouble was, somebody turned the headphones off just as it started so we couldn't hear a thing, but as it was live TV in front of 3million viewers, we had to just carry on as if nothing happened so it was way out of sync!!

For anybody who hasn't heard, Strider the band will be taking a break for a while whilst everybody goes to work on other projects. Mark will be concentrating on original material and Anthony and Jonathan will be doing covers with their other band Rodamus.

As there is still a demand for that Rocking Strider set, Mark will continue to do some solo gigs keeping the Strider flag well and truly flying!! He will be playing The Green Dragon, Whiston, The Royal Oak, Prescot, Stamps Too in Waterloo, La Barbacoa in Crosby and anywhere else that would like to give him gigs for that kind of Music.

In the meantime, You can still catch Mark at The Village Inn in Woolton on a Monday night or Stamps Too on a Thursday doing the Acoustic Nights, as well as La Barbacoa in Crosby, and if you keep checking the gig guide, you'll find the solo rock gigs as well.

Mark would like to thank everybody who has supported STRIDER over the many years of gigging, and is looking forward to seeing you all again very soon. Strider will be back at some point in the future, but in what form we do not know as of yet. Please keep checking in as this website will be continuing as normal and as soon as there is any news, I'll keep you informed.
