About the Fox

Jonny “The Fox” Darnell

Jonny started life at an early age. He started playing guitar at the age of 10, and gigging when he was 12.

When Jonny left school, he started Music College at the now de-funked Greenbank Centre where he met a “character” that introduced him to many working musicians, including the legendary Mark Reader, and the partnership began.

Jonny moved to Bass guitar around that time due to lack of work for guitarists, before moving to Cornwall to eat pasties and Study Computers at Truro College.

He has played in many Local/National bands from Trashy pop punk legends Dog Flambé, to Goth Rock of Shinobi, and Transvestite Fetish glam of Pleasuredome as well as intervals in and out of Strider. Jonny has supported many old school big names such as The Rubettes, The Real Thing and has played at the Transfandango Ball with Richard O’Brian.

Jonny has also studied computer music and Sound production as well as computer science, where his abilities are now being used at Tonewood Studios with Mark Reader

P.S. To anybody interested, the nickname Jonny the Fox comes from a Thin Lizzy Track called Jonny the Fox meets Jimmy the Weed. Just so you know!
